Emily Maynard Officially the New Bachelorette!
It’s official! Emily Maynard will be the next Bachelorette! Us Weekly reports that ABC confirmed the news this morning.
“She’s looking for a man — not a little boy,” a source said of Emily, who broke up with Bachelor Brad Womack in the summer of 2011. Emily herself has yet to tweet about or comment on the news.
Emily grew up in West Virginia and now lives in Charlotte, North Carolina, with her 6 year-old daughter. She was once engaged to NASCAR driver and team owner Ricky Hendrick, but he died in a plane crash six years ago (when Emily was pregnant). I need stability. A lot of times in Charlotte, I would go out with guys, and most guys knew my story,” she once told People magazine. “It’s just a lot to handle. And with a young child, you know, it’s a lot to ask of guys.”
The Bachelorette will premiere sometime in the spring. In the meantime we have to suffer through the evil Courtney and the idiotic Ben on The Bachelor!
