Longtime Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajak has admitted to being drunk while hosting the game show. According to People, pat admitted to Dan Le Batard of Dan Le Batard Is Highly Questionable (which airs on ESPN 2) that several years ago, he and Vanna White used to drink before tapings.
“Yes,” Pat, 65, said with a laugh. “When I first started and was much younger and could tolerate those things. We had a different show then.”

Back in the day, the show used to take a 2 1/2 hour break for dinner – and Pay and Vanna would go get margaritas at Los Arcos (a Mexican place in Burbank). “Vanna and I would … have two or three or six and then come and do the last shows and have trouble recognizing the alphabet,” Pat said. “I had a great time. I have no idea if the shows were any good, but no one said anything, so I guess I did okay.”
Six margs is no longer Pat’s usual routine, but he’d like to take a look at the drunken footage. “They’re really great tapes to get a hold of,” he said.
