Nick Carter Plans To Continue Tour Despite Sister Leslie Carter’s Death (WATCH)

The show must go on, says Nick Carter.

Just days after the death of his sister, Leslie Carter, Nick Carter says he has no plans to postpone or cancel any of his upcoming tour dates. In fact, he performed in front over around 700 excited fans at Irving Plaza in New York last night.

Nick took a moment during his performance to commemorate the life of his late sister. “I never thought I’d have to, but I’d like to dedicate this song to my sister,” he said before performing the song Falling Down. He was also wearing some sort of spacesuit while this happened, for whatever that’s worth.

You can see intimate video of the emotional moment below:

After he finished the sad song, Carter reportedly broke down and had to leave the stage for a moment. He collected his emotions backstage and, upon re-emerging onstage, he remarked that he wants to celebrate Leslie’s life. Previously, he has said that he finds performing to be cathartic.

Leslie Carter’s death is reported to be due to a prescription drug overdose. A police report released yesterday identified various drugs used to treat schizophrenia and depression that were likely to have been present in Leslie Carter’s system at the time of her death.

Nick Carter is currently on tour in support of his recent albumĀ  “I’m Taking Off.”
