X-Factor: Will Beyonce Replace Paula Abdul For $100 Million?

Simon Cowell has offered Beyonce $100 million to be a judge on The X-Factor, Us Weekly reports. The salary would be the highest ever for someone on TV – and it could be the perfect way for Beyonce to stay in the spotlight without leaving baby Blue Ivy to go on tour.

Apparently, Mariah Carey was Simon’s first choice – but a source says he changed his mind. “He wants a big-name female star on the panel,” the insider said. “Mariah [Carey] is good, but she’s not that hot today. He wants BeyoncĂ© because that would immediately give him the bounce needed to beat American Idol.” Simon has also Nicole Scherzinger and host Steve Jones since they didn’t live up to his expectations. Hey, Simon – maybe the problem isn’t the hosts and judges…maybe it’s that we’re sick of singing competitions. With American Idol and The Voice, we really don’t need another one!

But perhaps Beyonce is so big that she could make a difference. Also, Beyonce has experience with this sort of thing, since she appeared on the British version of the singing competition show back in 2008.

The question is – will she say yes? At #14 on the Forbes Most Powerful Celebrity list, She’s probably one of the few women in Hollywood who have the ability to turn down $100 million.
