Randy Travis Arrested for Being Drunk in Public

52-year-old country singer Randy Travis was arrested Monday morning for public intoxication in Sanger, Texas, outside of a church.
The Sanger Police Department stated that someone called to report a suspicious vehicle and when police arrived they found Travis with an open bottle of wine, reeking of alcohol and behaving in a very disoriented manner. He was inside the parked car. He claimed that he had fought with his girlfriend and was trying to find a way to get back home.
Police took him to a jail at around 1:30 AM but released about six hours later.
Travis, who lives in the nearby town of Tioga, apologized in a statement to The Associated Press “for what resulted following an evening of celebrating the Super Bowl.”
Some of Travis’ songs include “A Few Ole Country Boys,” “Out Of My Bones,” “Hard Rock Bottom of Your Heart,” “1982,” “If I Didn’t Have You,” “Honky Tonk Moon” and of course “Forever and Ever, Amen.”
Travis has a concert tour lined up that will begin this Friday, February 10 in Grand Ronde, Oregon.
