Will Ferrell Superbowl Beer Commercial Aired Only in Nebraska (WATCH!)

Will Ferrell was the star of a Superbowl commercial last night – but only the folks of North Platte, Nebraska were lucky enough to see it! According to E! News, our favorite Anchorman teamed up with beer company Old Milwaukee for an incredibly simply 30-second commercial. Check it out:

Will walks through a field in slow motion before being tossed a can of Old Milwaukee. He opens it, with much spray, and then the commercial beeps him out and cuts him off as he says the brand’s name. Funny? Weird? We’re not quite sure what to make of it.

Will has done ads for Old Milwaukee before that aired only in Davenport, Iowa. Why does he do them? Word is he doesn’t even take a fee! We can’t seem to find an official explanation – but one can imagine he finds the whole thing pretty hilarious. According to Complex, Will “claims he just did the free publicity for the love of the beer.”

“I can drink a lot if I have to,” Will told Chelsea Handler last year. “I’ve been known to throw ‘em back.” To research his role as an alcoholic in the movie Everything Must Go, Will drank 18 beers to see if a change came over him…but he says he just ended up making a mess of his kitchen. “I’m just a happy drunk,” he said.
