Whitney Houston Cause of Death

Whitney Houston was pronounced dead at 3:55 pm yesterday, Saturday, February 11, and the autopsy was completed today.

The autopsy results have not yet been released and are pending toxicology results, which can take over a month to obtain.

According to TMZ, “Although the cause of death is unknown, it is increasingly looking like Whitney may have fallen asleep or lapsed into unconsciousness in the bathtub and drowned.”

Houston was reportedly drinking heavily the night before and prescription medicines were found in her hotel room at the Bevery Hilton – notably Xanax, which causes sedation mixed with alcohol.  A close staff member of Houston reportedly checked up on her after realizing she was in the bathroom for over an hour and discovered Houston unconscious and under the water in the bathtub.

On the day of The Grammys, the world continues to mourn the pop legend and by no surprise will Ms. Whitney Houston continue to dominate conversation throughout the night and for weeks to come. She has left a huge impression on everyone’s lives and her death is a massive loss to the music industry and the world.
