When Ben and Courtney go on dates, it seems like Courtney is The Bachelorette and Ben is vying for her hand in marriage.
On their date in Belize, she tells him that she needs to be sure before she puts her father through the process of meeting him and that she “likes what she sees” so far. Ben invariably agrees with everything she says.
Ben asks Courtney about her journey and she proceeds to tell him that she’s tried to win every girl over by being nice and complimenting them, and that she would never be friends with them in real life because they’re so vanilla, boring and so into themselves. It’s difficult for her to live with them day in and day out.
Ben says one of his concerns is that she isn’t getting along with the other women. Courtney says they’re wearing her out, and that they aren’t even women but are all girls.
Her hateful self is finally coming out a bit.
“Do I need to put myself through all this stress to find love? No, but I am for you because I really like you,” says Courtney. Her way of soothing him.
