Man Suffers Heart Attack at Heart Attack Grill (WATCH)
The Heart Attack Grill in Las Vegas has lived up to its name. According to The New York Daily News, the restaurant that’s upfront about its 6,000-calorie burgers and poor effect on your health got a bit too real over the weekend when a patron suffered a real heart attack.
“He was having the sweats and shaking,” said a waitress. At the Heart Attack Grill, waitresses dress like nurses and take diners’ pulses before taking orders.
“The gentleman could barely talk,” said Jon Basso, the owner of the Heart Attack Grill. “He was sweating, suffering.” Watch the incident below:

When the video went viral, some people thought it was a stunt – but while Basso has said, “Who doesn’t want to risk a little danger every once in a while. If I can put danger back into hamburgers, all the better” – he also says he would never have a customer wheeled out on a stretcher for laughs. “I actually felt horrible for the gentleman because the tourists were taking photos of him as if it were some type of stunt,” Basso said. “Even with our own morbid sense of humor, we would never pull a stunt like that.”
Do you think the Heart Attack Grill goes too far? The sign on the door reads, “Caution! This establishment is bad for your health,” and customers weighing over 350 pounds eat for free. Is it reckless – or are they just being honest while other unhealthy restaurants pretend that their food can be enjoyed in moderation?
We think it’s all pretty gross – but that you should be able to pick your poison. We hope the customer gets better (and chooses a new restaurant).
