Bethenny Frankel Reveals She Had Miscarriage
Will Bethenny Frankel’s happily-ever-after include another baby? Unfortunately, the answer may be no. According to USA Today, the reality star revealed this week that she was pregnant with a second child, but suffered a miscarriage.
“I’m 41. … It’s a very personal question that I get asked a lot. We were pregnant with a second baby and at eight weeks I miscarried and that was a very emotional experience,” Bethenny said. “It had a lot of different things that came with it.”
Bethenny and husband Jason have a one year-old daughter, Bryn. “Thinking about women who can’t have their own baby, even the first baby, I’m really lucky,” Bethenny said, getting teary. “I have the most beautiful daughter in the world and I’m grateful for her.” She added, “The window’s closing.”
Bethenny’s right; According to Socalfertility, the miscarriage rate is 33% at age 40, and the chances of getting pregnant at all are reduced due to the diminishing number of viable eggs as women age.
The third season of Bethenny Ever After premiered last night on Bravo.
