Oscars Red Carpet 2012: See the Best Dressed Stars (PHOTOS)
The Oscars red carpet kicked off with some of the most gorgeous dresses worn by the hottest actors from nominated movies like The Help and The Artist.
There didn’t seem to be a dominant color theme this year, as the stars graced the area outside of the Hollywood & Highland theater in an assortment of hues, from reds to greens to neutrals.
Rooney Mara surprisingly did not wear black; instead, she opted for a white/cream mermaid dress with a plunge neckline. Angelina Jolie, however, looked stunning in a black dress with a high slit which she complemented with a bright red lipstick.
Michelle Williams’ dress seemed to be a favorite for many of the E! hosts. She wore a red peplum gown with a bow on the waist.
Emma Stone also looked amazing – she wore a bright red gown with a turtleneck collar fashioned with a huge bow. The dress of course brought out the red in Emma’s hair very well.
