Nick Lachey Is Expecting! Wife Vanessa Minnillo Is Pregnant
Nick Lachey is following in the footsteps of his ex-wife Jessica Simpson and having a baby! The former 98 Degrees singer revealed this morning that he and wife Vanessa Minnillo are expecting.
Lachey made the announcement while service as a guest host on Live! with Kelly. He revealed how he got the news. Apparently, his wife, Mannillo, was a guest on Live! last month. That evening, she took a pregnancy test and it came back positive. Lachey was in the Bahamas at the time when he got the good news.
“I’m here to tell you the stage here is a very fertile place,” Lachey joked.
Becoming more serious, Lachey remarked that, “This is the one thing that more than any other I’ve looked forward to.
Lachey revealed that the baby is expected some time in the late summer. He said he wants to know the baby’s sex ahead of time, but that he doesn’t know it yet.
Lachey even admitted that he’s already thought of some possible names and even has some favorites. If the baby’s a boy, Lachey said that he favors the name Colin or even Colin John. “Call him C.J. for short,” Lachey said.
If the baby’s a girl, Lachey said that he likes the name Sophia.
