American Idol Joshua Ledet Delivers Best Performance in Show’s History According to JLo, Skylar Laine Tells Judges They’re Mean
Skylar Laine is up next and she comments to the judges in her country perkiness, “Y’allz are being mean!”
Skylar’s mom says she was a crazy, trouble-making child who would intentionally bang her head on the sidewalk. Will.i.am thinks Skylar should sing Ghountry, Ghetto Country, but she goes with Bonnie Raitt. The judges love it.
Louisianan Joshua Ledet comes out and Ryan presents him with a sinfully gigantic bucket of crawfish. Joshua shows four random teenage girls how to open them, and they get scared when Ryan throws one at their general direction. Joshua sings “When A Man Loves A Woman” and he kills it. His eyes are bloodshot but it just makes his performance that much more intense. The judges give him a standing ovation. Randy shouts that he’s “blown it out of the box” and he came out and regulated. Apparently Steven Tyler noticed the eyes too. He says “God came through your eyes.” Randy attributes the phenomenal performance with the crawfish. JLo says it’s the best performance on American Idol – ever.
Hollie Cavanagh’s dad is adorable and hilarious. He makes really corny jokes and cries when he speaks of his daughter’s on-stage performances. For her “year they were born” song, she sings Celine Dion’s “Power Of Love.”
