Step Up Revolution: Get Your Protest Dancing Shoes On (WATCH!)
Time magazine crowned the 2011 person of the year as the protester. What better way to protest than through a little jig, a sultry shimmy, or perhaps, a little water sprinkler (that’s a classic, trademark dance move by the way).
Step Up Revolution the latest installment of the Step Up franchise moves dancing from entertainment, to performance art, to protest art. How empowering and calorie-burning!
Cut to scene: A hunky flash mobber Ryan Guzman takes to the Miami streets with a crew of equally talented dancers, a young and beautiful female dancer Kathryn McCormick becomes enthralled by his adrenaline-pumping moves, and the rest is dance romance history.
The power of dance comes into play when the two battle an evil contractor who threatens to build over their beloved community, displacing the natives and devastating the cultural scene. Be sure to check out the reappearance of Peter Gallagher (of OC fame) and SYTYCD‘s Stephen “tWitch” Boss reboots his role from Step Up 3D.
Here’s a sneak peak of the trailer.
