Katy Perry Let’s the Secret Slip – The Release Date for Her 3D Film Revealed! (VIDEO!)

The fourth of July won’t be the only reason for fireworks. The Firework singer Katy Perry revealed that her new 3D concert film will hit theaters on Independence Day.
The 27-year-old singer-songwriter confirmed last month that the film will be named after her current single, Part Of Me, but had been holding back on its debut date. Perry performed the tune this Saturday at the Kids’ Choice Awards, and told presenter Kelly Osbourne: “Go and see it and be a firework.”
Early last week, the creatively coiffed songstress revealed that she will give her Twitter followers a chance to be involved in the film. Followers will be invited to pick what songs she performs, and even pick the outfits she adorns on stage. The partnership with Paramount Insurge Pictures and Twitter will also allow followers to see exclusive behind-the-scenes shots from the film.
So get your 3D glasses prepped! And don’t worry, Kathy Beth Terry (Perry’s nerdy alter ego) does make an appearance!
