Whitney Houston Autopsy Results – Fatal Dose of Cocaine??
The world mourned upon hearing about Whitney Houston‘s death. At last, autopsy results have been released. The report confirms that the death was an accidental “drowning due to effects of atherosclerotic heart disease and cocaine use.” Houston was found dead in her hotel bathtub by her assistant on February 11.
Dr. Nachman Brautbar, a toxicologist and professor at USC has reviewed the report, and says that the amount of cocaine was not at a toxic level. Traces of marijuana, the anti-anxiety medication Xanax, the muscle relaxant Flexeril and the allergy remedy Benadryl were all found in her system.
Brautbar says that none of the drugs on their own were at a toxic level, but the combination of drugs may have caused her to lose consciousness and slip under the water. No foul play is suspected. “The mode of death is accidental,” according to the autopsy.
Houston has battled addiction for many years. She is survived by her ex-husband Bobby Brown who has been in the headlines recently for a DUI arrest, and her daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown.
