Ricki Lake Elopes in Secret!
Ricki Lake skipped the big wedding and opted for a secret elopement! According to E! News, the 43 year-old actress and Dancing with the Stars contestant announced the news of her nuptials on Twitter this morning: “Yup. This is me…. Sadie Sadie married lady,” she wrote, also uploading a photo of her in a white tiered dress. “Love is in the air.”
Ricki got engaged to 40 year-old Christian Evans last summer after dating for about a year. Their secret wedding ceremony took place somewhere in Southern California.
“He’s totally OK with my life,” she said about Christian in an interview last year, when she was a contestant on DWTS. “Christian just laughs,” she says of her getting recognized in public. “He’s very special. I love him so much.”
This is the second marriage for Ricki, who has two sons with her first husband Rob Sussman. They got divorced in 2004 after 10 years of marriage. She says that now that she’s older, she’s learned to “speak from the heart.”
