Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23 – Devious New Comedy Premieres Tonight (WATCH!)

We’re used to lovely sitcoms about moving to the big city, getting quirky roommates who become our BFFs for life à la Friends, but this is a different story altogether. Krysten Ritter, 30, plays the roommate we’d love to hate.

Ritter stars as Chloe, a manipulative, self-obsessed city girl who lures the wide-eyed June, Dreama Walker, 25, into sharing a pad with her. So, with first and last month’s rent in hand, Chloe goes on a mission to drive her naive roommate from her sight.

When asked what it’s like to play a hardcore biatch, Ritter responded that “I think that Chloe gets to say things that everybody wishes they could say. You know, it’s fun when you get to play somebody so bold and badass and unapologetic, and I get to do dark stuff and be funny. It’s a really complex, well-developed, amazing character and it’s really just the most fun I’ve ever had in my life.”

So, we have a devilishly entertaining and witty antihero, plus her not-so-docile new roomie, but wait… There’s more… Dawson is part of the cast! Okay, I know his real name is James Van Der Beek, but he’ll always be Dawson for me. Van Der Beek, 35, plays himself and is the best friend and ex-boyfriend of Chloe. “He’s like my gay BFF but straight,” quips Chloe.

Van Der Beek is a scene-stealer and jokes that he auditioned six times for the role of himself. “I was lucky that four of them were not actors, and two of them didn’t speak English, so… by default, it was me…”

Get your fill of Dawson tonight as the series premieres 9:30 ET.
