American Idol: James Durbin Performs, Jimmy Iovine Predicts Phillip Phillips, Elise Testone in Bottom 3
Idol alum James Durbin has a new album coming out called “Memories of a Beautiful Disaster.” To be honest I completely forgot who he is until I saw him on stage. He tells Ryan he got married in December and Casey (fellow contestant from the same season) was late. James’ tour starts tonight in the Viper Room in LA.
Ryan continues his painfully slow sorting of the contestants to reveal the bottom three. Elise Testone and Phillip Phillips are up next. Jimmy says they’re character – not technical – singers. He says Phillip is influenced by Dave Matthews but you just end up with Dave Matthews singing a Maroon 5 song. He predicts Phillip will be in the bottom three. He says Elise was great but he doesn’t think she did enough to pull herself out of the bottom three.
Ryan sends Phillip to Hollie’s group and Elise to Jessica’s side. Elise looks relieved.
