American Idol Results Shocker! Jessica Sanchez With Lowest Votes, Judges Save Her From Elimination
Idol alum and Grammy and Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson and NeYo take the stage. She is looking quite svelte. She’s definitely a picture-perfect rep for Weight Watchers.
Back to the contestant sorting. Colton and Joshua are up. Jimmy says they both did well. He thinks Joshua’s performance was natural and flawless. Colton had a smaller song but he believed every word of it.
Joshua is in the group with Jessica and Elise. Colton is with Hollie and Phillip.
Skylar Laine is the final contestant left sitting on the couches. Jimmy says Skylar is someone who he is afraid might get left behind. She’s a pro. She’s a singer-songwriter and a technical singer.
Skylar is the first to be told she’s safe. Then Ryan cruelly tells her to pick the group she think she belongs to but she refuses. Ryan then takes her to the group with Hollie, Phillip and Colton, and announces they’re all safe.
This means Joshua, Jessica and Elise are in the bottom 3.
JLo looks beyond disappointed. Randy chides, “THIS IS A RIDICULOUS BOTTTOM THREE AMERICA.” We know what Jimmy thinks.
Joshua and Elise are safe. Jessica Sanchez received the lowest amount of votes. The judges look absolutely shocked. The other contestants also look very confused, especially Phillip and Hollie.
Then in a dramatic turn of events, Jessica begins singing sounding nervous and a bit off key. About 20 seconds into the song, the judges walk up on stage, JLo takes the mike away from her, and tells Jessica to “go sit down.” Randy then says they will without a doubt use their save for Jessica.
