Pippa Middleton Gun Photo Causes Controversy

Pippa Middleton caused a stir yesterday when paparazzi caught her with a gun – but People magazine reports that it was a toy gun. The fake gun popped up in a photo of Pippa, who was riding in the passenger seat of an Audi convertible when the driver of the car aimed a handgun directly at the photographer. Pippa was in Paris for French aristocrat Arthur de Soultrait’s party.

Apparently, the gun was a toy being used in “a game” with paparazzi, who had been following Pippa her whole trip. Parisian police say they are not conducting an investigation. I’m not sure exactly what this “game” could be – since the gun photo gave paparazzi even MORE to photograph and report on. Photos of this so-called gun probably got them more money that photos of just Pippa – so…the paparazzi win?

Still, I can’t blame Pippa for being annoyed by the papz. According to E! News, paparazzi take nearly 400 photos of Pippa EVERY DAY, enough to make Pippa’s legal team issue threaten individual paparazzi and their agencies with a lawusit. “It is extremely intimidating to our client to have to face a group of unknown men outside her home and office who pursue her both day and night,” her legal team said in a letter, adding that Pippa experienced “serious distress and anxiety” as a result of being followed by photographers.
