Sheree Whitfield Quits “Real Housewives of Atlanta”

Sheree Whitfield has quit Real Housewives of Atlanta! The New York Daily News reports that ex wife of former NFL star Bob Whitfield released the following statement about her exit from the Bravo show: “After four solid seasons of helping Bravo build the show into its most successful Housewives franchise, I have decided to leave. The direction the show is going in is no longer a fit for my lifestyle. I’m tired of the fighting and the cattiness.”

She continued: “I want to be part of something that empowers and inspires women to not only be healthy, but to treat themselves with respect. I wish the rest of the women the best of luck. I’m thrilled to say I’m now a free agent and am already fielding offers.” Sheree also tweeted, “It was time for a change. Thank you for the well wishes.” She is planning to launch a clothing line and is also working on projects in the fitness realm.

Bravo responded with the statement, “We have enjoyed working with Sheree as part of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. We wish her all the best in the future.”

Sheree seems to have quit for similar reasons to Camille Grammer, who quit The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” in March after two seasons. “Bravo wanted her back but, like with all the ladies on the show, was very clear about what they expected from her: drama,” a source said of Camille. “They loved Camille during the first two seasons when her marriage fell apart so publicly and she was going through a nasty custody and financial battle with her ex.”

Sheree is going through a similar situation: Bravo featured her fighting with her ex-husband over child support – and if she wants to be positive and help people, she’s no longer the prototype of a Real Housewife.

Luckily, hordes of women in Atlanta (and everywhere) are willing to bring the drama! Any suggestions for a replacement?
