American Idol: Joshua Ledet and Elise Testone Rock Out to Queen, Impress Judges Like No Other
Joshua Ledet sings “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” and is his usual soulful powerfully singing self. The judges get on their feet for him. Randy Jackson says it was unbelievable and gives him “four checks” on performance, charisma and everything else. He says he’s reminiscent of Sam Cook. JLo says she likes everyone on the show but her favorite part is when Joshua comes out. Steven is in awe.
Elise Testone is next. She goes for “I Want It All.” Will she move out of her “bottom three vacation home” so cleverly coined by Jimmy Iovine? I have no idea what the deal is but I think Elise is actually very good … and her raspy voice is so unique that I’d enjoy an entire album of her singing. Steven says she’s found her stride. JLo says it was Elise in her element – she looked great and sounded great. Randy says it was brilliant and one of her best performances to date. Elise says she just wanted to be herself.
