American Idol Top Six Takes On QUEEN – Jessica Sanchez Starts With Bohemian Rhapsody
Ryan Seacrest reminds us how shocking Colton Dixon’s sudden elimination was last week and urges us all to vote.
It’s Queen night! Each contestant will sing twice.
On a side note, I think Colton would’ve done well tonight.
The group meets with the top six Idol hopefuls and dispenses some career and performance advice. Queen then performs a medley of all their greatest hits along with the contestants. The only one they leave out is Bohemiam Rhapsody which only means someone will give it a shot during their solo.
And that someone is Jessica Sanchez.
The judges generally like her rendition of the all-time classic, but JLo is particularly disappointed that she didn’t run around in her sneakers and throw her hair around a bit during the rock part. Steven Tyler points out that rock isn’t Jessica’s forte.
Skylar Laine is up next to sing “The Show Must Go On.” During her pre-performance interview, she tells Ryan she writes her own songs and hopes she can sing her favorite on the show. Steven says it was over the top and it was fabulous. JLo has “goosies.” Randy thinks it’s one of her best performances to date.
