Britney Spears Sells Home Where Infamous Meltdown Occurred
It looks like Britney Spears, 30, is moving on to bigger and better things. The pop icon has reportedly sold her Beverly Hills estate for $4.25 million. This sale is way above the asking price of $2.9 million.
The recently sold pad is the site of Britney’s 2008 mental meltdown. Police arrived at her home where she was placed on a psychiatric hold.
Maybe BritBrit is turning over a new leaf with the sale of her old home? Although $4.25 million isn’t anything to sneeze at, she purchased the mansion and grounds in 2007 for $6.8 million. The Mediterranean villa houses five bedrooms and six bathrooms, and was purchased two months after Britney’s divorce from Kevin Federline, 34.
The lowered asking price may not affect Britney too much since it’s reported that Femme Fatale singer is getting a $15 million paycheck for X Factor as one of the singing competition judges, and she receives $800,000 a month from music sales.
Maybe her next purchase will be a home for her, the fam, and her fiance Jason Trawick, 40. With possible wedding bells ringing later this year, they may be in the market for a new matrimonial pad.
