President Obama Brings the Laughs at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner (VIDEO)

The annual White House Correspondents’ Dinner is a star-studded event that brings politicians, journalists, and A-list celebrities under one roof to eat, schmooze, and poke fun at one another. This year’s event, attended by the likes of Kim Kardashian, Jimmy Kimmel, Mitt Romney, and more, was full of laughs, as well as a few well-placed jabs.

Traditionally, the president himself makes a speech, and this year was no exception.

President Obama took shots at everyone from Donald Trump, to Hillary Clinton, to the Secret Service. The president was at once entertaining and political, delivering a speech that was chock-full of digs at celebrities, his political adversaries, and even himself.

“What’s the difference between a hockey mom and a pitbull?,” he asked, alluding to recent news that he ate dog as a child in Indonesia. “A pit bull is delicious.”

Obama even poked fun at the Republican Congressional leadership, thanking them for “taking time from their exhausting schedule of not passing any laws” to attend the dinner.

What do you think? Did the president rock the White House Correspondents’ Dinner with the right mix of lighthearted, shrewdly political, and self-deprecating, or did he take things too far?
