Ashton Kutcher Looks for Love Online (But Not Really) (VIDEO)
Do you recognize the first four men who appear in the video above? Well, believe it or not, they’re all Ashton Kutcher. WHOA. We’ll wait while you pick your jaw up off the floor.
Kutcher, President of Pop Culture at Popchips, appears in the above ad for a fictional dating site called WorldWideLovers.com. In the video, the Two and a Half Men star demonstrates his remarkable acting range, playing not one, but five separate characters (well, one of the characters is himself, but still).
However, the real aim of this marketing campaign is to virally promote Popchips’ new Facebook app, a matchmaking game that allows the user to get hooked up with one of the four personalities (a fashion designer, a biker, a hippie stoner, or a Bollywood film producer) and receive either a love note or a ‘Dear John’ letter.
Kutcher recently split with wife Demi Moore, following allegations that he cheated on her (on their anniversary, no less). Some have speculated that the Popchips video is intended not only as a promotional campaign and a way for Kutcher to line his pockets, but also as an insult to his former wife. However, a source states that, “This is just a fun video he put together since his love life is clearly a hot topic these days.”
