Jermaine Paul is the winner of The Voice season two!
As a reminder, the top four was Tony Lucca of Team Adam; Juliet Simms of Team CeeLo; Chris Mann of Team Christina; and Jermaine Paul of Team Blake.
Let’s recap the night. Lady Antebellum, Flo Rida and Justin Bieber performed.
Blake Shelton said Jermaine Paul’s future is wide open now… and he just needs to figure out what he wants to do. Christina Aguilera called her mentee Chris Mann “pure and honest.” CeeLo Green said that Juliet Simms’ journey is a testament to her talent. Adam Levine thinks all four contestants are amazing and is okay with any one of them winning the entire competition.
The top four brought back some of their best friends, such as Jamar Rogers and RaeLynn, to perform for us one last time.
Now, the moment of truth: Jermaine Paul begins crying. Chris Mann is super-appreciative no matter what happens. Juliet Simms recognizes all the sacrifices of her family and friends. Tony Lucca is happy that all the work he’s done wasn’t in vain.
Carson Daly first reveals the fourth-place runner-up: Chris Mann. (What?!?!?!) Third place goes to Tony Lucca.
Carson says 4 percentage points separated the second- and first-place winner.
