Kate Middleton Shows Some Leg, Joins Angelina Jolie and Anja Rubik in New Fashion Trend (VIDEO)

Kate Middleton showed off a lot more than just her royal hubby, Prince William, at a dinner hosted by The Thirty Club at Claridges recently. The fashion-forward duchess bared some leg in a floor-length cream gown with a thigh-high split, while also rocking a pair of sparkling, diamond earrings, a red pedicure, sparkling Jimmy Choos with a clutch to match.

The royal isn’t the first famous lady who dared to bare a leg. Angelina Jolie flashed her right gam during the 2012 Oscars, and the media and the Internet went nuts. Soon, photos with Jolie’s leg Photoshopped in began popping up all over the place. In fact, Angie’s right leg even has its own Twitter account with nearly 50,000 followers. The leg recently tweeted that Middleton’s leg is ‘honing in on [her] turf.’

At Monday’s Metropolitan Museum Costume Institute Gala, Polish model Anja Rubik barely avoided putting someone’s eye out with her hip bone as she made a scene in a dress with a slit that went all the way up to her waist (and a conspicuous lack of panties). Luckily, there wasn’t a breeze at the MET gala, and Rubik managed to avoid having a wardrobe malfunction (although I’m sure she would have appreciated the resulting publicity).
