Russell Brand Regrets Divorcing Katy Perry (VIDEO)
British funnyman Russell Brand could really use a time machine right now. Apparently, the comedian, 36, recently sent a long email to Ms. Perry asking for a second chance at a relationship and stating that he ‘gave up’ on their 14-month marriage too soon. The email reportedly states that the divorce was ‘the biggest mistake’ of his life.
A source close to the comic says that the email was likely prompted by jealousy. Perry, 27, was spotted canoodling with Florence and the Machine guitarist Robert Ackroyd at Coachella last month.
“Word has it Russell was ‘seething with jealousy’ when he saw pictures of her with Rob. He apparently feels he gave up on their relationship too easily,” says the source.
Russell filed for divorce five months ago, citing ‘irreconcilable differences’. It’s rumoured that Russell wanted Katy to give up her partying ways, but she (being a young, sexy songstress in the middle of a tour) was unwilling to.
I have a feeling that Brand’s regrets are more the result of the green-eyed monster and not a realisation that he truly loves Katy and made a mistake in divorcing her. What do you think?
