Kim Kardashian Challenges ‘Tanning Mom’ to a Tanning Competition
In a photo posted on Twitter over the weekend, Kim Kardashian showed off a dark tan, along with the caption, “The tannerexic mom has some serious competition!!! LOL.”
As we previously reported, ‘Tanning Mom’ or ‘Tan Mom’ (as the media has dubbed her) is a New Jersey woman who recently drew legal scrutiny for allegedly taking her five-year-old daughter to a tanning salon. After seeing photos of her own over-the-top tan, the media jumped all over ‘Tanning Mom’. She has since been parodied on Saturday Night Live.
After evoking concern in some of her fans, Kim later explained that she was only joking around, and that her bronzed look was the result of self tanner. “Relax that’s just a spray tan!!!” she wrote shortly afterward.
“It washed off & I’m back to my normal tan self!,” wrote the reality star. “But how crazy does it look after being on for 8 hours!”
Tanning Mom has been having a pretty tough time since she pleaded ‘not guilty’ to child endangerment following allegations that she allowed her daughter to enter a tanning booth. She has been banned from a number of tanning establishments in her area, and has drawn criticism from Snooki and Nadia ‘Octomom’ Suleman. Yes, you read that right.
In a recent interview with TMZ, Suleman said, “I would never even fathom (taking a child tanning). That’s unfathomable to me. You’re teaching (her) to define your worth by your reflection in the mirror. I don’t do that. (Child Protective Services) should definitely go to her house, and they should mandate parenting classes for her, for sure.”
You can’t make this stuff up.
