Angelina Jolie Buys Brad Pitt a Helicopter and Flying Lessons (VIDEO)
Well, it seems that it’s a good day to be Brad Pitt (is it ever a bad day to be Brad Pitt?). The 48-year-old actor just received a really awesome gift from none other than Angelina Jolie. The 36-year-old actress recently shelled out $1.5 million on a helicopter and flying lessons for her soon-to-be husband.
What was the occasion for such an extravagant purchase? Oh, nothing in particular. You don’t need an occasion when you’ve got a bathtub full of Benjamins (I imagine that all celebrities have bathtubs full of money).
The two recently had a landing pad installed on the grounds of their home in the south of France. Brad even has a private pilot’s license already, although he’ll need a few more flying lessons before he’s able to hop in the cockpit of his helicopter and take off unassisted.
So, what will Brad do with his new toy? Will he use it to channel Arnold Schwarzenegger and re-enact the ‘Get to the choppa!’ scene from Predator? Will he take a page out of Harrison Ford’s book and fly around saving stranded hikers? Unfortunately, the truth seems to be a little less exciting. A source close to the couple says that he intends to use it to fly to and from Cannes – but you never know!
