Bristol Palin is Getting a Reality TV Show

Bristol Palin, who (as you may recall) said some hilariously hypocritical things on her blog last week, is jumping back on the reality television bandwagon.  Two years after appearing on Dancing with the Stars, Bristol’s finally got her own show. Her new TV show, which will debut on Lifetime in just a few weeks, is called Bristol Palin: Life’s a Tripp. Get it? Because her son’s name is Tripp? So witty.

The series aims to, in Bristol’s words, “show how down-to-earth my family and I are.” It will follow the 21-year-old single mother and her son, Tripp, from her hometown in Alaska to Los Angeles, where she accepts a job with a non-profit organization.

Lifetime’s executive vice president of programming, Rob Sharenow, explained the reasoning behind the show’s creation thusly:

“From the first moment she was thrust into the public eye, Bristol and her son have been the subjects of a huge amount of curiosity and misunderstanding. This show will reveal the real Bristol Palin and her journey as a daughter, mother and a young woman making her way in the world.”

The show premieres on Lifetime on June 19th. Do you plan on checking it out? Let us know in the comments.
