Paris Hilton Gets a Job???
We can all stop holding our breaths. It happened. Paris Hilton got a job. (Insert joke here–It’s just too easy, so let’s not.)
What is this new job, you ask? Subway sandwich artist? Stamp collector extraordinaire? Animal shelter manager? No, none of these things. A DJ. Yes, the celebutante is trying her hand at DJing. Paris will make her debut on June 23, at the Sao Paulo Pop Music Festival. Her one-hour set will follow on the heels of performances by JLo and Kelly Clarkson.
If her music career is any testament to her DJing skills, we’re in for a treat–a bland, electronic, lip-pouting treat. “I cannot wait to DJ for the first time in front of thousands of people,” Paris told Billboard. “I have been a part of the music scene and club scene since I was 15. It’s something I have been passionate about and have come to respect very much. I am very excited to share all of my hard work with the world.”
Sigh, we’re excited too, Paris, so very excited… *crickets chirping*
This newfound interest in DJing may have something to do with her newest beau, Afrojack. The two have been seen making rounds at various music circuits–notably Ultra Music Festival and Coachella.
Can someone tell Paris that just because her bf is a DJ, doesn’t mean she pick up his skills by osmosis? Well, maybe her next guy will be a rocket scientist, and she’ll develop a keen interest in aeronautics. We can only dream.
