Russell Brand Tells Ellen DeGeneres: I Still Love Katy Perry
Remember Russell Brand‘s email heard around the world? Well, we don’t know the details, but the gist is that the recovered sex addict saw the light and apparently how good he had it with wife Katy Perry.
While speaking with Ellen DeGeneres on her show Thursday, Brand admits that he still has a thing for the Fireworks singer: “I still lover her as a human being.” How else can someone love another person–as an alien? “But, sometimes when you’re in a relationship I suppose it doesn’t work out, does it? But that doesn’t mean I regret it or anything,” adds Brand.
Brand surprised Katy with a divorce after being married for 14 months. I guess their love couldn’t survive even with the elaborate wedding gifts of your everyday elephant and humdrum tiger. Maybe Brand was looking for an out–What do you get someone after gifting them with an exotic animal?
“I was very happy to be married with her,” Brand continued to DeGeneres. “She’s such a beautiful human being and I just have only love and positivity for her.” We have to admit–the guy is being honest. But it seems like her new thing with Florence + The Machine guitarist Robert Ackroyd is too much for Brand, who finally unfollowed his ex wifey on Twitter.
