John Travolta – Still in Hot Water, Accusers Hire New Attorney
It seemed like a victory for Travolta earlier this week when Texan masseur, known as John Doe #1 dropped his lawsuit against the actor. Days later Atlanta-based masseur, John Doe #2 did the same. Rumors swirled that Travolta was no where near Beverly Hills–where the alleged sexual assault occured with John Doe #2. But the Travolta camp may have celebrated too soon.
The two masseurs have found new representation with powerhouse attorney, Gloria Allred. “We believe that the lawsuit should be filed in another court and, therefore, the lawsuit was dismissed without prejudice,” Allred said in a statement. “We will be conferring with our client regarding what will happen next in this case,” added Allred regarding her client John Doe #2. It was reported on Tuesday that the former attorney for John Doe #1 asked to have the suit dismissed, and days later John Doe #2′s suit was also dismissed. However, it was announced on Thursday that Allred is representing both masseurs.
Both John Does claim that Travolta groped them during private massages. It looks like Travolta and lawyer Marty Singer will be in for the fight of their lives. Gloria Allred has represented the family of Nicole Brown Simpson–O.J. Simpson‘s slain ex-wife–and also the two women involved in the Tiger Woods sex scandal.
