The Bachelorette Emily Maynard Bakes Cookies With Ryan the Pro Sports Trainer for First Date, Gets First Rose
Emily Maynard is going on her first date today. Since she’s in her hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina, she’s able to take advantage of her proximity to family so she can go on her dates while her daughter Ricky is looked after.
The men are all antsy to see Emily again.
Ryan, 31-year-old pro sports trainer, is the first man to go on a one-on-one date with Emily. Emily says she’s nervous about Ryan because he’s so good-looking. She’s apparently very wary of attractive men since things didn’t work out with her ex Brad Womack.
For the first date, Emily makes Ryan help her take groceries into her house and bake cookies for Ricky’s soccer practice. They then drive over to the soccer game where Emily takes the snacks over to the kids. Ryan isn’t allowed to come out of the car because she’s very protective of her daughter and doesn’t feel comfortable introducing her to any of the guys yet. Ryan seems visibly uncomfortable by all this.
