Katy Perry and former beau Robert Ackroyd are looking unusually glum these days. The two were spotted canoodling at this year’s Coachella festival, but have since split.
We wonder if it has anything to do with Katy’s ex, Russell Brand, declaring that he still loves Katy and feels that he’s made a huge mistake in divorcing the Part of Me singer.
We understand that it’s hard to move on with a new relationship so soon after a breakup, especially if your former husband is telling the world that he wishes things had worked out.
Although, we’re unsure what the long email entailed, we wonder if this and other proclamations could have affected Katy and Robert’s budding romance.
Katy donned a gothic, black number while in New York City while Robert remained stoic and tight-lipped in Australia.
Is it really over between Katy and Robert? Will Katy and Russell reunite?
The lyrics of Wide Awake would say this is a negative. Many fans believe the song to be an anti-Russell track with the lyrics reading: “I wish I knew then what I know now / Wouldn’t dive in, wouldn’t bow down / Gravity hurts / You made it so sweet ’til I woke up on the concrete.”
Hmmm, only time will tell if Katy and Russell have really moved on.
