Ashley Judd’s Husband Dario Franchitti Takes Home Indy 500 Win for the Third Time!

Dario Franchitti, or Mr. Ashley Judd, as most news outlets would have us believe, has taken home the Indy 500 win for the third time. He is one of only ten drivers to have achieved this honor.
“[It's] just such an extraordinary achievement,” says Judd. “I am so proud of him.” Franchitti takes home a cool $2.4 million dollars for winning the race. The three-time winner drank the traditional bottle of milk in the victory lane. Franchitti and Judd took a victory lap around the track, and were joined by Susie Wheldon, the widow of Dan Wheldon, who died last October in a Las Vegas Motor Speedway crash.
“What a race, what a race! I think D-dub [Dan Wheldon] would be proud of that one,” gushed Franchitti. “I just want to dedicate this to two of Indianapolis’ finest, Dan Wheldon and Michael Wanser. Thanks to all of the Indianapolis fans for their tribute to Dan today.”
Coming in second was Franchitti’s teammate Scott Dixon, followed by Tony Kanaanwas, Oriol Servia and Ryan Briscoe.
Ashley Judd, being the proud wife tweeted, “Thanks, everyone, for the good wishes & congratulations. Your enthusiasm in celebrating w/ @dariofranchitti has made it even more special!”
Judd and Franchitti, who married in 2001, took pictures with the Borg-Warner Trophy during the winner photo sessions.
