Katy Perry Without Makeup in Shocking Photo From “Part of Me” Doc
If you think Katy Pery wakes up looking completely flawless, think again! E! News has posted a photo of Katy without makeup from her upcoming Part of Me documentary – and it made us gasp an “OMG!” She doesn’t look bad at all – but she looks completely different. Dare we say…normal. In the photo, she’s smiling backstage, wearing a whimsical red peppermint dress – but we’re guessing you’ll be focused on her makeup-free face.
Katy decided to bare all for the 3D documentary to reassure her fans that it’s okay to have flaws. “When you see the film, it’s a bit scary because there’s a lot of shots of me bloated with zits and normal,” Katy explained to Ellen DeGeneres. “I think it’s important to start breaking down the idea that to achieve your dream you always have to be perfect or flawless or live in some kind of fantasy world. So that’s why I decided to put everything into the film, in the most tasteful way. But mostly it’s about how I go there and the ride along the way which can be bumpy but mostly it was extremely fun.”
Luckily, this photo of Katy without makeup is much more flattering than one her ex-husband Russell Brand once posted on Twitter. For Katy’s sake, we won’t link to that one. Although, last year, Katy told Vanity Fair that she didn’t freak out about the photo. “I didn’t really care. I mean, when I go to rehearsals I look like that,” she said. “I’m every woman. It takes a village to make me who I am…. You don’t have to wake up looking like, you know, Gisele.”
