The Bourne Legacy – New Trailer! (VIDEO)
The fourth installment of the Bourne franchise is missing one thing: It’s leading actor, Matt Damon. Although Damon makes a brief cameo in the movie via a news report, and many characters refer to Jason Bourne, the main star of the last three movies is no where to be seen. So, who’s taking on the leading role?
Avengers actor, Jeremy Renner, takes on the leading spot, and with his success from the superhero flick, plus The Hurt Locker, we think Renner has the chops to be Bourne’s successor.
Renner plays Aaron Cross, an agent who’s fighting to stay alive. His agency begans to clean up shop after the program is shut down due to Jason Bourne’s actions in the previous flicks.
Rachel Weisz plays Stephanie Snyder, the doctor who helped genetically modify the agents. She too is running from the same agency headed by main bad guy, Agent Byer played by Edward Norton.
The trailer features scenes of the two running for their lives with the agency hot on their trail. The Bourne Legacy has a release date of August 3. What do you think? Can Jeremy Renner fill Matt Damon’s shoes?
