Russell Brand Hosts MTV Movie Awards, Jokes About Katy Perry & Justin Bieber
Russell Brand hit the stage of MTV Movie Awards this Sunday. The funnyman, known for his offscreen party antics and quickie marriage to Katy Perry, made light of the usual brand of celebrity troubles, and even poked fun at himself.
Brand who’s been known to smack a bit of paparazzi now and then joked about Justin Bieber‘s recent run-in with photogs: “We have vital issues to discuss, one — Justin Bieber beat up a paparazzi — well done Justin.”
He also went on to joke about Kim Kardashian‘s quickie marriage: “Kim took a load of pressure off me with her world record quick marriage. I just hope that the two of them do a new sex tape. Yeah, I think we’d like that. I think of Kim Kardashian as the Stanley Kubrick of sex tapes. They’re always brilliant but she only does one a decade.”
And last but not least, he addressed the pink elephant in the room: his 14-month marriage to Katy Perry. “Some of you may be thinking or know this that the last time I did an awards show I did end up marrying someone that was there, so tonight I’m going to keep my eyes peeled for my next wife — Fassbender — it has to be.”
Michael Fassbender, known for his roles in X-Men: First Class and Inglourious Basterds, sat blushing in the audience.
