Danica McKellar aka Winnie Cooper Getting a Divorce
Danica McKellar – many men’s first childhood crush – is getting a divorce. CBS News reports that the actress, who played Winnie Cooper on The Wonder Years, has filed for divorce after being married to composer Michael Verta for three years. Danica and Michael have a son, Draco, who is just a year old.
In her petition, which was filed in Los Angeles, Danica cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. The petition also mentions that the couple has a prenuptial agreement.
Danica, who is 37 (how?!), is best know for playing Winnie – but she has also appeared on The West Wing and How I Met Your Mother. She has also written three mathematics books, including “Math Doesn’t Suck” and “Kiss My Math.”
“Thank you so much for all your love and support during a tough time!” Danica tweeted yesterday, adding later: “Thank you for all your continued messages of support and strength! It really means a lot.”
