Taco Bell Gets Fancy
Quick: what’s your first thought when someone mentions Taco Bell? Most people probably think of one (or both) or two things: stoners, and stomach-rending terror that inevitably hits approximately half an hour after consuming their tacos.
Taco Bell is hoping to change that. With help from Miami celebrity chef Lorena Garcia, Taco Bell has set to work adding new items to their menu that they hope will attract a more ‘upscale’ clientele. The new menu includes such items as burritos, as well as the Cantina Bowl, which contains grilled chicken, avocados, corn, pepper salsa, and black beans.
Good try, Taco Bell, but in my heart, you’ll always be the restaurant that causes severe gastrointestinal distress. Speaking of, what will happen to Taco Bell’s core customer base once the new menu is implemented?
Well, if you are a stoner or a person who takes some sort of masochistic pleasure in having an upset stomach, don’t worry: Taco Bell will not let you fall by the wayside. The fast food restaurant is not planning on ditching their original menu, and they fully intend to keep creating new menu items to satisfy customers with low standards.
In fact, they’ve recently introduced the Beefy Nacho Burrito, which has the main selling point of being nachos you can eat with one hand. It retails for 99 cents.
