Taco Bell Launches “Mountain Dew A.M.” For Your Breakfast Soda Needs

Yesterday, Taco Bell announced new “upscale” additions to its menu, including a grilled chicken “Cantina Bowl” with avocado and black beans. Is Taco Bell having an identity crisis? According to FoxNews, select Taco Bell locations in Southern California are offering “Mountain Dew A.M.,” a breakfast drink consisting of Mountain Dew and orange juice. Nicknames include “Morning Dew” and “Dewdriver.”

“Our customers love Mountain Dew and it’s one of our most popular beverages, so we are testing Mtn Dew AM in Fresno and Southern California as the latest innovation to our FirstMeal Menu,” company spokesman Rob Poetsch explained in an e-mail. “We’re pleased with the initial reaction from our customers, and if it does well, we’ll roll it out to all our restaurants that serve breakfast.”

Because who doesn’t want to start their day with Taco Bell, right? The fast food restaurant’s morning menu includes Cinnabon Delights, breakfast burritos, hash browns and a sausage and egg wrap.

Perhaps Mountain Dew A.M. could be the solution to the new giant soda ban in New York City. Since giant fruit juices aren’t prohibited, let’s just start mixing soda with equally-sugary juice!
