Lady Gaga Hits Head During Concert, Suffers Concussion (VIDEO)

Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Ball tour has been fraught with unfortunate incidents. So far, Gaga has dealt with mass protests, canceled shows, and now a concussion.

The singer was hit in the back of the head by a metal pole wielded by a male backup dancer at her last show in Auckland, New Zealand. The dancer was trying to move the set piece off stage when he accidentally hit Gaga, giving her a concussion.

Mother Monster stumbled a bit and briefly walked off stage, but returned shortly after. She explained the incident to her fans, sayig, “I wanna apologize if I’m rambling tonight, but not sure if you noticed, I hit my head earlier and I think I may have a concussion.”

The pop star was a total trooper, performing 16 more songs for her excited fans before leaving the stage for good.

Her makeup artist, Tara Savelo, later tweeted, “Gaga has a concussion but she is going to be okay … can’t believe she finished the show.”

Despite the brief hiccup, Gaga’s New Zealand publicist, Bridget de Launay, called the sold-out Auckland shows a “huge success.”

Lady Gaga is now headed to Australia for the next stop on her world tour.
