Madonna Flashes Nipple to Crowd
“You don’t have to show your nipples to be interesting, and it doesn’t necessarily mean you’re cutting-edge if you do,” said Madonna, way back in February, 2012.
Clearly the Material Girl doesn’t take her own advice. In fact, 55,000 concertgoers at a Madonna show in Istanbul, Turkey, got a little more than they bargained for when the singer decided to flash her right nipple at the crowd.
This was no wardrobe malfunction.
While performing her 1995 hit, Human Nature, the singer began performing a striptease for the crowd, peeling off clothes to reveal a black lace bra. The dance concluded with Madge pulling her bra down to briefly reveal her right breast.
The 53-year-old pop star has been making plenty of waves recently. She drew criticism following a show in Tel Aviv in which she displayed a photo of French National Front leader Marine Le Pen with a swastika on it. The politician has threatened to sue if Madonna pulls the same stunt in France.
While Madonna has always been one to court controversy, her recent stunts seem to smack of desperation. With more young, edgy singers (think Lady Gaga and Rihanna) hitting the scene, it’s difficult not to see stunts like this as a sad ploy to stay in the spotlight.
