David Arquette Files for Divorce from Courtney Cox on Their Wedding Anniversary
David Arquette has filed for divorce from Courtney Cox on their 13th wedding anniversary. Ouch.
The two announced their separation in October 2010, citing “irreconcilable differences.” Arquette, 40, and Cox, 47, share a daughter together. Coco will be turning eight on Wednesday.
Arquette is also seeking joint legal and physical custody of Coco. He is not seeking spousal support, and has decided to represent himself. Although, the two have been separated for almost two years, they still remain amicable.
“Our relationship is probably better than it would be if we lived together,” reveals Courtney. “It’s definitely better than it used to be. We communicate better, we have much more respect for each other, we listen. It’s hard.”
Arquette has been linked to Entertainment Tonight reporter Christina McLarty, but Cox remains single and definitely not ready to mingle. “No guy’s asked me out. I’m not saying I’m not ready to have a make-out session, but it just makes me nervous,” Cox told Howard on his Sirius-XM radio show. “I don’t like to go out in general.”
The couple married on June 12,1999–thirteen years ago–after meeting on the set of Scream in 1995.
The official split has been a long time coming, and we wish the best for these two as they go their separate ways.
