‘Call Me Maybe’ Covered by ‘Chocolate Rain’ Guy (VIDEO)
As if there weren’t enough covers of Carly Ray Jepsen’s incredibly catchy pop hit, Call Me Maybe, now we’ve got a new contender: Tay Zonday.
Yeah, that’s right: the Chocolate Rain guy.
While it’s difficult to imagine a girlier tune than this, Zonday declares at the beginning of the video that he’s going to sing it ‘as deep as possible’. The result is hyper-masculine, oddly endearing version of the song that made Carly Rae famous, complete with a few incorrect lyrics.

As we previously reported, this pop tune has exploded in popularity since it was originally released, mostly because it was (I assume) scientifically engineered to be the catchiest song of all time. Celebrities, including Katy Perry and James Franco, along with tons of regular fans, have posted their own covers and lip dubs of the tune on YouTube.
