Casey Anthony Didn’t Kill Cayley, According to Casey Anthony

Casey Anthony has finally broken her silence, and the result is basically what you’d expect.

In a phone interview with Piers Morgan from CNN, Anthony stated that she ‘obviously’ did not kill her daughter, Caylee. Big surprise there.

Despite the mountains of evidence that seemed to point to Casey’s guilt, the ‘tot mom’ has always maintained her innocence. 2-year-old Caylee Anthony was reported missing a month after her death. The ‘official’ story is that she drowned in the family’s pool, and that Casey didn’t call the police because she feared that she’d be accused of murdering her daughter.

In the interview, Casey called her daughter her “greatest accomplishment,” and went on to discuss her newfound maturity.

“I’ve looked back at some of the interviews. I’m ashamed in many ways of the person that I was, because even then, that wasn’t who I am,” she said. “I was a stupid kid. I’ve never been a ‘party girl,’ and I’ve gone through hell.”

The 26-year-old is currently on probation for check fraud, and will be venturing out of hiding soon to defend herself in court against Zenaida Gonzalez, who is suing her for defamation.

Anthony acknowledged the fact that most people still believe that she’s guilty.

“The public perception of me is bad, absolutely horrible,” she explained.

Her lawyer, however, had hope that she could she can change that, telling Morgan that, “When the time comes, she will have her story to tell.”
